BLACKTOWN RSL YOUTH SWIMMING CLUB

President’s Report

The swimming club season starts in October and concludes in May of the following year.

The swimming meets are held on Thursday nights at the Blacktown Aquatic Centre.

There is no swimming during the school holidays at Christmas and Easter.

The emphasis is to have fun swimming competitively.  During the normal season, swimmers try to beat their personal best times.  They only race against other swimmers of their own age group and sex during the “championships”, which are held over the last four weeks of the season.  The season culminates in our presentation which is normally held in late May when participation trophies and tokens are awarded.
